BIS stands for Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies.  This is a unique program that provides students with the ability to diversify their college education.  In enables students to collaborate many different disciplines into a unified educational experience.  In a ever changing society, this degree places students ahead of the evolving academics. This degree consist of combining at least two concentrations, with the ability to design a curriculum finely tuned toward a specific career path. 

My Reason For Choosing BIS:

It was almost fate that I came across the BIS program.   At the time I was a pre-business major at the W.P. Carey School of Business.  I decided that I wasn't interested in only a specific business degree such as economics or finance.  Rather, I searched for something that would allow me to learn several entities of business as well as another discipline.  I found that BIS allowed me to learn not just one facet of business and communication but several.
